Footage begins with scenes from the Art Students' League Summer School in Woodstock, N.Y., followed by footage of individual artists in their summer studios in Rockport, Gloucester, and Provincetown, Mass. and other unspecified locations. Artists pictured include Arnold Blanch and his students, Anton Refregier, Marion Greenwood, Howard Mandel, Julio de Diego, N. Dirk, Hans Hofmann, Morris Davidson, George Yeter, Seong Moy, and Karl Knaths. Also contains footage from the Ringling Art Museum sculpture garden.
