Identified in finding aid as vol. 128 (of 145), though Shaw's numbering on handwritten title page gives vol. number as 69. Title page reads: Vol. LXIX; 1963-1964; Nantucket, Sept. 1 - Sept. 7; Newport, Sept. 7 - Sept. 9
Shaw gives a detailed account of the events and activities of each day in the form of a list of short phrases, noting rising and bedtimes, hours spent writing or painting, social engagements and business appointments. He also mentions noteworthy news events such as the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
