Bluemner writes the invitation as a news article from "The 'Flemington Spectator'" about a murder trial (indicating that he is on trial for "having murdered the New Jersey scenery"), a tongue-in-cheek way of inviting the Liebmans to his exhibit at the Marie Harriman Gallery. Date based on flyer in Bluemner's papers which gives the date of a one-man show of his at the Marie Harriman Gallery as Jan. 2-26, 1935 (see Oscar Bluemner papers, box 6, folder 35).
