DeFeo has taken a poster for the 3rd annual Los Angeles Film-makers Festival and collaged over it with scraps of brown paper on which she wrote her and Berman's addresses; a photo of a little girl (possibly DeFeo at a young age); and a torn piece of paper with a typewritten message. The message reads: The White Rose is a Fact painted somewhere on a slow curve between destinations. This is all I remember. This is all I know...; It is all I can say about the Universal Pastime for all giant fans who believe in the second coming of Casey Stengel.
Jay DeFeo mail art to Wallace Berman, 1965. Wallace Berman papers, 1907-1979, bulk 1955-1979. Archives of American Art, Smithsonian Institution.
