Summary:
Wood comments happily on the continuation of the Civil Works Administration (a later name for the Public Works of Art Project) and offers his services to continue as a state head for the project, he also recommends Elizabeth Olds for another position; he discusses some visitors, an article from the Des Moines register on Iowa artists, and the controversy over his painting Daughters of Revolution.
Referring to the Baltimore chapter of the DAR who suspect he is a communist, he signs the letter "Grant 'Red' Wood."
He also includes a limerick as a postscript.
