Mora describes commissions for Harper's and other art pieces he is working on, as well as social activities and visits with friends. Several pages are illustrated: a man wearing boots and helmet; two women and a man captioned "county fair folks"; three seated women and one man seen from behind with a city skyline in front of them labeled "5th ave"; a self-portrait, seated and sweating, captioned "hot work criticizing these days"; several people around a table, captioned "had a jolly supper with the Duncan's." This is one of 242 monthly pocket diaries in Mora's papers.
