Summary:
In his letter to George Tooker, Richard F. Howard asks Tooker to send a painting to the Birmingham Museum of Art for inclusion in their exhibition of American painters in 1964. Tooker responds on reverse of letter, saying that he will participate on the condition that the museum treats African-Americans equally and is not a segregated facility.
