Summary:
The bulk of the collection contains Mary Swift's photographs, contact sheets and negatives of artists and art events in Washington, D.C. Also included are approximately 130 cassette tapes of interviews with artists conducted by Swift and two VHS tapes of art events in Washington, D.C.
Photograph subjects include portraits of artists, artists' studios, artists' performances and installations.

Biography Note:
Mary Swift (1929- ) is a photographer in Washington, D.C. Swift was a managing editor and photographer-in-residence for the Washington Review.
Provenance:
