Personal papers and gallery records of painter and gallery owner Joe Lopez including correspondence, writings, loan files, financial records, artwork, a scrapbook, printed material, and audio visual material.
Correspondence is with friends, family, and community members. Writings are by Lopez and his family and include poems, an artist's statement, and essays. Financial records include loan forms and permission to publish forms. Financial records consist of price lists and legal documentation regarding copyright and trademark. Artwork includes studies, sketches, and proposals. One scrapbook contains printed material and photographs of artwork and events. Photographs are of Lopez, his family, works of art, and his gallery. Printed material includes press releases, a self-published book of poems by Lopez, newspaper clippings, and exhibition announcements. Audio visual material consists of a musical performance, photographs, and talks by Lopez and others on CDs and DVDs.
