One paintbrush used by Washington Allston. A fragmant of a note, partially illegible, is wrapped around the paintbrush "paintbrush used by Allston. Given to Ms. Judkins (?) at Allston's funeral." Ms. Judkins may have been, E.M. Judkins, a student of Allston's.
