Lillian E. Travis (1886-1961) lived in New York and was a colleague of Edith Dimock Glackens at the Art Students League. Travis modelled for William Glacken's painting, "The Shoppers."
The collection was donated to the Archives of American Art by Lillian E. Travis's granddaughter, Sarah Crawford Fox, in 2012.
