Biographical material, correspondence, financial records, journals, slides and photographs, audio-visual material, a television documentary script, and printed material documenting the career of Karl Zerbe as a painter.
Biographical material consists of awards certificates and plaques and estate information. Correspondence, both personal and professional, is with friends, family, and Zerbe's dealers. Financial records document the sale of Zerbe's work as well as his personal finances.
Journals include bound volumes with personal notes, sketches, travel logs, and photographs. Slides are of Zerbe's works of art and a small amount of photographs are of Zerbe and his colleagues. Audio-visual material consists of travel reel-to-reel home movies and VHS recordings of lectures Zerbe gave at various times in his career.
Also included is a transcript of "Expressions of Life," a one hour documentary for television on the life and work of Karl Zerbe (including interview transcripts with Zerbe) written by Ernest Kolowrat, 1986, Peter J. Barton Productions. Printed material consists of exhibition announcements and clippings about Zerbe.
