Included are personal and professional correspondence; daily journals (1974-1984); photographs and slides; financial records, including consignment agreements and price lists; and exhibition catalogs and other printed material. Among the correspondents are Lisa Adams, Billy Al Bengston, Alan Lynch, Ed Moses, and Babe Shapiro.

Biography Note:
Artist; Los Angeles, Calif. Full name Robert Craig Kauffman. Kauffman was born in Los Angeles. He worked for several years in San Francisco, eventually returning to Los Angeles where he joined, as an original member, the Ferus Gallery group. Beginning as an abstract expressionist artist, his work turned to a minimalist style with his vacuum-formed work in the 1960s and 1970s, and as one of California's leading light and space artists.
Donated 1997 by Craig Kauffman.
