Jefferson was a painter, actor. Best known for his role as Rip Van Winkle.
Donated 1991 by Julia Henshaw, who acquired the photographs through her grandfather, a neighbor of Joseph Jefferson and a child actor in plays with Jefferson in an area near New Iberia, Louisiana.
