REEL 3472: Manuscript, "The Making of an Artist," Sylvester's autobiographical essay about her birth and childhood in Russia, emigration to the United States, her mother's death, and her first drawing lessons.

Material on reels N70-62 lent for microfilming 1970 by Sylvester. Material on reels 854-855 donated 1970 by Sylvester; subsequently all but two personal photographs were transferred to NMAA-NPG Library in 1975. Material on reel 3472 donated 1978 by Sylvester.
