Letters; writings; scrapbooks; and an annotated auction catalog. REEL 3745: An article entitled "Specimens" in which Wheeler writes about his art collection. The article appears in Wheeler's SKETCHES, privately printed in Washington, D.C., 1926. REEL 3952: Nine bound manuscript catalogs describing Wheeler's collection in detailed notes often with colored sketches or clippings; and one volume of privately published writings by Wheeler. UNMICROFILMED: Letters, 1935-1936 regarding the 1935 sale of his collection at the American Art Association Anderson Galleries, New York, N.Y.; an annotated auction catalog from the sale, and 3 scrapbooks entitled "Art Odds and Ends" (2 v.), "Trash, Treasury and Trashury" (1 v.), containing clippings about art sales, cartoons, humorous poems, travel itineraries, recipes, obituaries, etc.

Collector; Baltimore, Maryland.
Material on reel 3745 lent for microfilming 1986 by Henry Shadid, husband of Joan Wheeler Shadid, Wheeler's granddaughter; Shadid donated unmicrofilmed material in 1986. Material on reel 3952 lent for microfilming 1987 by Charles Y. Wheeler, Wheeler's grandson.
