Summary:
Business and administrative records, project files, exhibition material, interviews, and newsletters of the Print Council of America.
Business and administrative records include the "PCA Running Papers," comprised of minutes of meetings, nominations, activities, agendas, by-laws, and correspondence, 1957-1981 and 1991-1996, financial records and material on dealer certification. Project files include information on the formation and on-line transition of the "Index to Oeuvre-Catalogue", the Council's database of print catalogues raisonne, 1960-1996, as well as an archive copy of the published index by Timothy Riggs, 1983. Other project files include material regarding the Print Council publications "Census of 15th C. Prints", "Guidelines for Lending Works of Art on Paper", and the "Paper Sample Book" among others.
Exhibition material includes photographs, slides, and calendars, 1957-2005. Interviews on CD are with curators, artists, and art- related professionals Marjorie B. Cohn, Ruth E. Fine, Roy Perkinson, Sue W. Reed, Louise Richards, and Elizabeth Ross and include corresponding transcripts, 2008-2010. Also included is a running set of Print Council newsletters, 1980-2005, and miscellaneous.

Biography Note:
The Print Council of America (1956- ) is a non-profit, professional organization of print specialists in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded by a small group of museum curators, scholars, artists, collectors, and dealers and led by Lessing J. Rosenwald, PCA's mission is to "foster the creation, dissemination, and appreciation of fine prints, old and new", and to encourage and professionalize the preservation, administration, and study of print collections in the United States and Canada.
