Biography Note:
Painter, sculptor, New York, N.Y. Born in Lushtcha, Russia and took his undergraduate degree in Warsaw. He continued his studies in Vienna at the Academy of Fine Arts and the the Academy of Fine Arts' School for Advanced Studies in Rome. His early work reveals an expressionistic figurative art which he later relinquished in favor of his own theory of art he called Physical Art. Physical Art is an abstract art which involves the manipulation of positive and negative spaces and geometric configurations.
Provenance:
Nikolai Kasak donated his papers to the Archives in 1977 and 1982.
