Summary:
Photographic prints, negatives, and glass negatives of live and sculptured horses and riders including New York City police, mounted models, and a few miscellaneous subjects. Also included is a letter from Charles Grafly, Simons' teacher, urging Simons to submit some of his bronzes to an exhibition.

Biography Note:
Equestrian sculptor.
Provenance:
Donated 1968 by Mrs. Paul Fitchen, Chester Beach's daughter, who found the papers in her basement. Beach and Simons were close friends.
