Correspondence (1915-1970), writings, dealer files, painting sales records (1938-1970), publicity, photographs of the artist (17) and his work (116), clippings and exhibition catalogs and announcements. Rockwell Kent is among the correspondents (1928-1931).
Addition: 11 binders of photographs of works of art and ten photographs of Etnier; press clippings, 1940s- 1980s; 1 logbook of Etnier's accounts and sales; correspondence with Midtown Gallery; exhibition announcements; a pencil sketch by Etnier, undated; lists of clients.

Biography Note:
Painter; South Harpswell, Maine.
0.8 ft. donated 1973 by Stephen Etnier. In 1986 his sons, David and John, donated 1. ft. of photocopies, as a bequest from Etnier's estate. In 1999, David Etnier donated 4 feet of additional papers, which includes originals of the photocopies donated in 1986 as well as additional material.
