For twenty years Sixth Smithsonian Secretary and ornithologist Alexander Wetmore - http://siarchives.si.edu/history/alexander-wetmore- traveled to Panama to explore its birds. In 1950, while on expedition to the country, Wetmore and his companions filmed their work. This overview describes their work on the island and includes Wetmore's reminiscences of his adventures.
