Drum Circle at the National Museum of American History
Drum circle from the Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation's symposium on Hot Spots of Invention in November 2009. Displaying the ability of a "hot spot" to form spontaneously, this drum circle brought museum visitors and members of the community together in the creation of music. Prior to the drum circle, percussionist Remo Belli discussed how his experiences in the hot spot of 1940s Los Angeles led to his musical inventions and innovations.
