This short, experimental film by filmmaker Jorge Prelorán celebrates childhood, play, and the imagination. Recently preserved by BB Optics thanks to a grant from the National Film Preservation Foundation, the film uses documentary footage, animation, sound effects, and music to portray the experience of childhood play. The film has four versions, each with a different musical score. The filmmaker's intention was that all four versions would be viewed together in order to compare how the character of the child changes according to the music. The film was shot in Tucumán, Argentina around 1965. Presented here is Version 1 with music by Jose Luis Castañeira. Musical credits for the other versions are: Version 2, Song by Poldy Bird with music by Rodrigo Montero; Version 3, Music by Alan Ross and the Beverly Hills String Band; Version 4, Music by Rodrigo Montero.
