Stuart and Wang will discuss the process of creating the exhibition in collaboration with the Palace Museum in Beijing. Plus, they’ll share how empresses of the period exerted influence in the arts, religion, politics, and diplomacy. Stuart is Melvin R. Seiden Curator of Chinese Art at the Freer|Sackler.
