RICA will train the next generation of leaders in conservation agriculture to adopt and promote sustainable food independence production in Rwanda. The concept of the campus design was inspired by the One Health approach to interlink ecological, animal, and human health into all aspects of the project. The architectural and landscape plan focuses on nurturing social cohesion, providing spaces for hands-on learning, and restoring biodiversity to the landscape. Facilities are built with locally sourced, low-carbon materials and techniques. On view in "Nature–Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial" through January 2020.
