AAPGRB copy 39088011521200 has a ms. pencil inscription in German on front free endpaper, from W. Kandinsky to W. Drewes, dated 24 Dec. 1932 "Dem lieben Herrn W. Drewes, zum Andenken an die Bauhaus-Zeit, Herzlichst, Kandinsky, 24. XII. 32." There are a few pencil markings in the margins
AAPGRB copy has laid in: 1. Printed course brochure in German, "Bauhaus Dessau, Frühjahr 1932" ([8] pages); 2. German article, "Die Austellung des 'Bauhauses' im Weimar," clipped from an unidentified 20th century newspaper ([1] page)
AAPGRB copy has the original color-printed black paperboard binding, re-backed with a black-toned Japanese paper spine (the spine was formerly repaired with burgundy book tape, with the title inked on the spine in orange). Housed together with the laid-in items in a modern linen-covered double tray box
CHMRB copy 39088019730571 is a gift from the George R. Kravis II Collection; inventory number K2011.204
CHMRB copy has been rebound in black cloth with the original color-printed front cover mounted on the front, and is housed in a black cloth slipcase with gilt-lettered spine title. Housed in a later gray paperboard box with printed paper spine. With binder's ticket on back paste-down endpaper: Bookbinder Andrew J. Laird, Berkeley, Calif.
