Artist's book, created for the "Science and the Artist's Book" exhibition co-sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution Libraries and the Washington Project for the Arts, May 1995-May 1996.
"This book was done in response to two lectures by Wilbur Wright [i.e. "Experiments and observations in soaring flight" andd "Some aeronautical experiments"] published in two pamphlets of the Western Society of Engineers in 1903. ... I photographed the present landscape of the Outer Banks and made drawings and montages on the computer ..." --Preface (laid-in).
