Guglielmo Marconi, 1st Marquis of Marconi was an Italian inventor and electrical engineer, known for his pioneering work on long-distance radio transmission, development of Marconi's law, and a radio telegraph system.

Summary:
Letter to Marconi's father Giuseppe thanking him for his willingness to help Marconi buy a majority of shares in his own company, conditionally agreeing to share some profit with his brother Alfonso, and discussing Marconi's conversations with "maggiore Carr" from the British Corps of Royal Engineers and with "Price direttore supremo dei telegrafi brittannici" (that is, William Henry Preece, Engineer-in-Chief of the British General Post Office).
