Portrait of an Assiniboin Indian named Pasesick-Kaskutau (Nothing But Gunpowder) standing in a mountainous winter landscape, his body turned to the right and his hands resting on a rifle held over his left shoulder. He wears a badger's skin hood that nearly conceals his face, mittens, and a long animal skin coat trimmed with fur at the cuffs.
