Summary:
The stone is carved in relief on the left side with a circular Masonic emblem depicting a compass and L-square, with a G in the middle, and an open book below, all within a columned arch. Above the top of the arch is an eye with rays of sun radiating from it. On the left side of the arch is a crescent moon, a pylon, and two crossed keys. On the right side of the arch is a sun, a measuring device, and a beehive. The Masonic emblem is surrounded by a ring bearing an inscription, carved in relief, reading: GRAND LODGE OF ALABAMA A.L. VDCCCXXI. At the top of the ring is a ribbon with an incised motto reading: Sit Lux et Lux Fuit.
