Summary:
Located in the Reading Room, this mural, one of ten illustrating a Greek festival to a special god, depicts three women on a hillside tending the sacred fire in preparation for the ceremony. One figure holds an urn that will carry the embers to the temple. Another kneels by the fire to gather the embers.
