Summary:
The base of a flagpole has two tiers. The top tier is octagonal and each side contains a set of three bas-reliefs. The reliefs depict figures engaged in various activities at the crafts school when it was first constructed in 1939. The activities include ironwork, woodworking, stone carving, weaving, ceramics and sports. The bottom tier is an unadorned square base.
