Summary:
Bronze plaque featuring a bas-relief portrait of Copernicus. He is seated in proper right profile and depicted from the waist up. His proper right hand is outstretched and his index finger points to an image of the solar system which is in front of him. He has slightly curled hair and wears an open-collared tunic. The plaque is mounted on the front face of a granite slab. The slab stands on a low rectangular granite base.
