Summary:
A rectangular, bronze relief plaque mounted on the face of a concrete marker depicts trading activities at Taylor Basye's pioneer store in 1820s Indiana. The store is a rough log cabin set in a clearing, with barrels lying about. A man wearing a hat sits in the left foreground, while a group of people on the right, including a woman, engage in trade in front of the store.
