The man wears an open-neck shirt and trousers. He holds a cane with his proper right hand. The boy also holds the top of the cane with his hands. The man has lost his proper left arm. Draped across the bench to the proper right of the elderly man is a coat. The bronze sculpture stands directly on a concrete walkway.
