Save Outdoor Sculpture, Ohio, Toledo survey, 1994.
Summary:
A sculpture consisting of three similar floating elements, each independently anchored in a pond. The pieces are curved and open. Each element is composed of painted aluminum above the waterline, stainless steel and iron below the waterline, and an ethafoam floatation device. The anchor line is nylon. The two smaller elements are identical. Each has one vane that is moveable. The larger element is identical in shape to the two smaller pieces, but has two vanes. The elements float approximately 20 to 40 feet apart from one another. There is enough slack in the anchor lines to allow for three to four feet change of position. The sculptural elements move when the wind blows.
