Summary:
A large reinforced concrete salmon-colored arched gateway with two concrete side panels and two granite columns. Inlaid hi-fired ceramic tiles, inset in the tops of the arches and on the side panels, depict animals native to New Hampshire.
Animals depicted include a red-tailed hawk with a snake in its talons, a loon, swan, great blue heron, woodcock, crow, blue jay, robin, purple finch, mallard duck, owl, pheasant, mourning dove, woodpecker, cardinal, king fisher, cormorant, herring gull, and a frog. The flanking side panels, also salmon-colored, have identical cobalt blue reliefs depicting other images of New Hampshire wildlife, including: a moose, skunk, turtle, salamander, woodchuck, bobcat, mole, owl, frog, bear, grey squirrel, deer, rabbit, wolf, weasel, raccoon, beaver, snake, porcupine, hummingbird, otter, opossum, mouse, muskrat, coyote, fox, trout, bass, and sunfish.
