Summary:
A uniformed Civil War soldier stands at ease, with his arms crossed over his chest and his proper left hand holding a broad-rimmed hat. A strapped pouch or bag hangs at the soldier's rear waist, and a short tree stump is behind his proper right leg. The soldier is mounted upon a multitiered, shaft-like base with a decorated top border and inscriptions on the front. One side of the base is decorated with a Confederate flag.
