Summary:
Portrait of Ahmet Ben Haman seated with his body turned to the right, his head turned to face the viewer, his hands resting in his lap, his left hand wearing a glove, and the right glove held in his left hand. He wears a turban, a black coat trimmed with gold, and a white tunic buttoned to the neck and tied with a sash at the waist. On the table to the left there is a silver ink well, paper, a pen, sealing wax, and a card inscribed with the artist's signature, "Edward Mooney, New York." In the background a gold curtain is pulled back to reveal a waterscape with a sailing ship in the distance.
