Summary:
Figure of General Jackson in military attire seated on his horse. He holds his horse's reins in proper his left gloved hand at the pommel of the saddle. His sword is in a scabbard on his proper left. His proper right hand is relaxed and holds a telescope. His feet are in stirrups; boots have spurs. There is a bedroll on back of saddle.
