Summary:
A bronze figure of a Civil War soldier returning from the war is mounted on a large stone boulder. The soldier carries his rifle over his proper right shoulder and hooks his proper left thumb on his belt. As he walks, he steps over a branch of Southern Pine. A canteen and a small kit bag are slung over his proper left hip.
