Mark Raymond Harrington (at right), Curator of Archaeology, Southwest Museum, and E. G. Ward (at left), miner and assistant to the Gypsum Cave expedition, examining charcoal from a fire below the sloth manure layer in Room 1, Gypsum Cave. This photograph was probably taken at the Nevada expedition site in 1930.
