Left side view of Harriet Quimby climbing into her Moisant Bleriot XI type monoplane, 1912. Autograph visible across lower right corner. Caption at bottom reads, "Miss Harriet Quimby, Dramatic Editor of Leslie's Weekly, climbing into her Moisant monoplane. Miss Quimby is a pupil in the Moisant Aviation School at Garden City, Long Island, and is the first woman monoplanist as well as the first American woman to try for her pilot's license."
