The University of South Carolina Newsfilm Library has a portion of the Fox Movietone newsreel collection and the Fox Film Corporation's corporate successor Fox News Channel has a portion of the newsreel collection and the theatrical shorts. Theatrical films and shorts can be found at various archives around the U.S. including the Library of Congress and UCLA Film and Video Archives.
Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation was a merger of Fox Film Corporation (incorporated in 1915) and Twentieth Century Pictures (founded 1933). The company continued to produce feature films and theatrical newsreels and shorts (under various Movietonews series).

Edited film is a theatrical travelogue produced for "Along the Road to Romance on the Magic Carpet of Movietone." Film shows scenes of Libya including a market area with camels and donkeys. The film shows people involved in handicrafts making hats and baskets. The fim also shows the oasis, the water well and shows how donkeys are used to carry water. The other scenes shown are men threshing wheat and the Libyan army taking instructions from the Italian army. Narrator dicusses the strategic location of Libya as a colony of Italy.
