Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation was a merger of Fox Film Corporation (incorporated in 1915) and Twentieth Century Pictures (founded 1933). The company continued to produce feature films and theatrical newsreels and shorts (under various Movietonews series).
Deposited by Santa Clara University in 1993.
Edited film is a theatrical travelogue documenting Peipinig with scenes of historical artifacts as well as city life. The film includes much of the past emperors' possessions such as stone and bronze animal statues, marble ships, marble palace and an artificial lake built. The film then captures life in modern day Peiping and shows the streets with rickshaws, trolleys, and bicycles. There are some market and shop scenes, and a few shots of camel caravans coming from Mongolia. Narrator provides the history of Peiping.
