Edited film depicting Hubbard's <umiaq> trip which was taken in search of evidence to support his theory that the Eskimos had migrated recently to North America from Asia. Voyage is from King Island to Barrow, Alaska showing scenes along the way at Wainwright, Point Lay (children playing teeter-totter and blanket toss), and Point Barrow. Also shown are the Inupiat of King Island constructing the umiaq including making a driftwood frame and women sewing on the walrus hide cover. Film concludes with Hubbard and crew returning to King Island before a storm (shown are shots of "pancake" and "lily pad" ice) and the King Islanders dancing.
