Summary:
Consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence relating to all aspects of the Division of Mollusks' work. The correspondence documents the history of malacology during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, professional activities of the Division staff, the developmentof the Smithsonian collection of mollusks, divisional administration, the research of divisional staff members, and relations between the Division and United States government agencies.
