63. A Landscape. Argus by command of Juno guarding io under the form of a snow white heifer. At a distance is Mercury who by the command of Jupiter is seeking to put him to sleep by his music. (On canvass--length 5 feet 6 inches, breadth 4 feet.) These companion pictures were from the collection of the Prince of Francavilla Imperiale. [P. 34; exhibited under heading: "School of Bologna." Catalogue of the Pictures which formed the collection of Joseph Capece Latro, ancient Archbishop of Taranto, &c. in the Kingdom of Naples now exhibited in the City Dispensary, in White Street, for the benefit of that Charitable Institution. New York, October, 1835.
