Although this and 18 other specimens (USNM 468354-468372) were cataloged with a preservation date of 27 March 1972 (and corresponding bleeding numbers 17049-17067 from that date), they were cataloged with 75-26 (collected on 11 January 1975) as their locality. This is presumably an error, and this specimen was collected at locality 72-18 (collected on 20 March 1972). If so, the total number of cataloged specimens from 72-18 (USNM 468354-468372 and 489856-489862) is 26, in agreement with the 26 specimens of P. dorsalis listed in the field notes as collected at locality 72-18. In addition, as a check on this, 8 specimens from the bleeding series 17049-17067 should be dark-phase specimens, and the remaining 11 should be striped phase. [AHW, 20 July 2023]
