Description:
This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
Notes:
This is a rachis with bipinnate leaves from a honey locust tree. There are eighteen leafy off-shoots from the main rachis, arranged symmetrically with nine on each side. The specimen is medium brown with a golden tint and measures approximately 27 cm x 23 cm. This specimen description was written remotely based on images as part of Amber Kreiensieck's internship in Fall 2021.
